I have a keen passion for finance. When most kids wanted to be police officers or fighter pilots, I wanted to be an accountant who helped people with their finances. I never followed through with being an accountant, however since 2006 I have been in finance and banking helping people. Essentially this is my childhood dream come true.
Outside of work I love spending time with my family. I am a regular on the Brisbane River Loop. I have recently taken up running - my eldest daughter wants me to do a marathon with her. For me time, I enjoy pumping for pinkies and casting a line.
I was fortunate to spend nearly a year living in Japan studying tea ceremony (sadō 茶道). I appreciated the rituals associated with tea ceremony and the embedded belief in life long learning.
I'm a seasoned professional with a passion for empowering others to reach their aspirations. I thrive on diversity, seek adventure in every moment, and am dedicated to leaving a positive mark on both personal and professional fronts.
My career journey has woven through Yellow Pages, financial services, consulting, and impactful work with the UN in Afghanistan where I coordinated an election. Having lived and worked in Hungary, Austria, and Portugal, I've not only embraced diverse cultures but also picked up their languages along the way.
Outside the professional realm, you'll often find me navigating the Brisbane’s River Loop (often with Simon) or conquering the trails of Mt Coot-tha during invigorating runs with with like-minded individuals.
Balancing the demands of parenting, from keeping up with a 5-year-old whirlwind to chauffeuring a sports-loving 15-year-old daughter, leaves little time, but every moment is a cherished adventure in its own right.
